Cybermonks
Living in the presence
of mystery and awe
we sit alone hours on hours
in deep contemplation
seeking the magnificent.
We stare into the light
hearts full of wonder
looking for something more.
Something is missing.
We sense the spirit of the machine.
We are familiar with the amazing.
We know much that is hidden from others,
Yet deep inside there is an empty space
we long to have filled.
The cybermonk stops the data flow,
takes time to breathe,
time to appreciate life and love
on either side of the interface.
Not satisfied with a life that is virtual,
We seek peace.
We seek community.
We seek a life of spirit.
We seek the truth beyond reality.
